By using appropriate questioning towards your student then you will begin to establish their attitude, norms and motivation when learning to drive. When a pupil makes a mistake it is part of learning therfore you need to give them time to reflect on their mistakes, rather than telling them what they have done wrong. How To Introduce A New Subject When you are ready to introduce a new subject to your Learner Driver Students, weather it be a new area to focus on or a manoeuvre the  you should start with a verbal explanation. However you should encourage your student to explain their understanding of the subject and involve them more by questioning what they think they should do so that it is less scripted and more discussion. The discussion is then followed by a demonstration, then the student is given an opportunity to check their understanding.  Then they can consolidate this by practicing. Earn While You Learn with 4front Driving School Once you have successfully completed  part 2 then we can undergo the relevant training for part 3. When we think you are ready you can apply for a pink PDI badge which will allow you to teach whilst getting paid with real students that we can provide for you. At 4front Driving School we won't charge any franchise fee until you are have completed part 3. Some of this paid teaching will involve us observing your teaching so that you can develop the right skills to pass part 3 and therefore there will be a payment involved which can be offset from the paying student. Part 3 - Driving Instructor Training with 4front Driving School What happens during the test A Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency examiner will watch you give a  client-centred driving lesson  lasting about an hour to one of your pupils. The examiner will look for evidence that you meet the  national standard for driver and rider training . Your pupil Your pupil can be a learner or a full licence holder. They can’t be an approved driving instructor (ADI) or someone else who is preparing to take the ADI part 3 test. You can take your trainer or mentor with you, but they can’t take part in the lesson. What you’ll be marked on You’ll be marked on 17 areas of competence that are grouped into 3 categories: lesson planning risk management teaching and learning strategies The 17 areas of competence are listed in the  ADI part 3 test report form , which the examiner will fill in at the end of your test. Part 2 - Driving Instructor Training with 4front Driving School Once you have completed Part 1 we advise you undergo some driver training to get you prepared for part 2. Most drivers develop habits over the years that need to be ironed out. You only get 3 attempts at this part otherwise you have to wait 2 years before you can start again from scratch. It’s the first of 3 tests you have to pass to qualify as an  ADI . It’s a theory test. There are 2 parts to your Part 1 test: multiple-choice questions hazard perception  - a video test about spotting hazards on the road You book and take them as a single test. Our Driving Instructor Training Program Explained We would ask to meet with you for an informal interview and discuss your intentions and what we can offer you. We would ask you if you have not already done so to apply to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to become an ADI. We will also ask you to complete the correct criminal records check . We will explain that once this is complete you will be able to book your part one test . We will discuss with you recommended revision resources to assisit with your training along with other resources you may need to get at later date. We recommend you start getting some part 2 training with us while you wait for your part 1 date. This will help you iron out any habits in your Driving and perfect your performance based on the examiners expectations.
