Our Driving Instructor Training Program

Our Driving Instructor Training Program Explained

We would ask to meet with you for an informal interview and discuss your intentions and what we can offer you.

We would ask you if you have not already done so to apply to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to become an ADI. We will also ask you to complete the correct criminal records check.

We will explain that once this is complete you will be able to book your part one test.

We will discuss with you recommended revision resources to assisit with your training along with other resources you may need to get at later date.

We recommend you start getting some part 2 training with us while you wait for your part 1 date. This will help you iron out any habits in your Driving and perfect your performance based on the examiners expectations.
Part 1 is a reasonably low cost test, but needs a lot of time spent reading up on, revising for and practicing. There is no limit of how many attempts you are allowed except it will cost you time and money with eachattempt.

Once you have passed part one test you will be able to book your Part 2 - your practical. We recommend if you haven't already done so to make use of our training to get you to test standard.
Warning - this test can only be taken 3 times. If you fail on your 3rd attempt then you will have to wait 2 years and start again from scratch. It also costs you money each time you take it so be more than just prepared.

While you are waiting to take part 2 test we also recommend that you start your part 3 training as you will need to complete 40 hours part 3 training that needs to be signed off before you are able to apply for a pink badge.

At this point you need to be thinking of getting a training vehicle ready to tech in for your pink badge. We can discuss options for you and recommend suppliers as well as fitters for duel controls and insurance.

Then once you have completed your part 2 test, your part 3 training and have a pink badge - then you can start teaching and earning with students that we provide for you.

You will have some supervised lessons too which will help us assess your teaching standard and getting you test ready for your final part 3 test.

When you take your part 3, again you only get a maximum of 3 attempts so get as much practice as possible.
